Good Ol Maine has finally made recreational marijuana lawful

Yes folks, you read it right -On the November 8, 2016 Maine voted to decriminalize recreational marijuana.  Who would have thought that Maiden would be one of the earlier states to vote for clearing recreational marijuana use? This is amazing news folks, and for some, the truth is still trying to settle in.  The Maine Marijuana Legalization Measure, also branded as Question 1, was on the Pretrial Ballot as an indirect initiated State Statute. A vote for yes, would have meant you support recreational marijuana to be decriminalized. In more SIMPLE DETAIL, it means that those 21 years and older CAN NOW LEGALLY SMOKE MARIJUANA. The passing of Question 1, means adults 21 years and older can now possess up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana and can also grow up to 6 cannabis plants per person. The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry will be in charge of overseeing all the regulations and licensing of marijuana in the states.

I had earlier predicted that Maine might not pull though here folks, but I’m sure glad I was wrong. This one didn’t come easy though. It also had us here at potnpolitics up till the morning, as we were really eager to know the result.  It however did pull through, but with some controversy on its back folks. The difference between the yes and no, was just under 4 k. that’s how close this shit was.  About 378k voted yes and about 375k voted no. So just over 51% voted yes and thank the marijuana Gods for that, folks. Some people in Maine were even asking for a recount due to the closeness of the votes.  A recount could take over a month folks, but I am confident this will stick. Maine had first tried to decriminalize recreational marijuana in 1972. They finally got it right in 2016.  There you have it folks, “NEVER GIVE UP IN LIFE.”

So as The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, begins to prepare for this next chapter, we here at potnpolitics thank all those that voted YES. Those that voted no, we understand we see things differently, but please take the time to do some research on pot. I strongly feel if you research objectively, you will hopefully see the light. I myself was once misinformed on this subject when I’m found out the truth I regretted all those adult years I had gone without smoking weed.

Remember, legalization is just around the corner and is as sure as death. Keep the bongs loaded and the joints burning folks. Please also share this post with your friends and family, by using the social media links below. Till next time, take care and cheers.
