Its Marijuana headlines time folks and I hope you all had a great and stony week.  Great week for me as I got to blaze about 2 very new strains and I’m still alive folks. What could be better than being alive? Be grateful for every day you get to smoke marijuana. Just kidding off cause. There is more to life than being a stoner.  Not much activity in marijuana news this week, but some interesting shit did occur.  As most of you know folks, my country Canada is just about to legalize marijuana. I know I’ve said this before, but this if going to be very significant because the Prime Minister actually wants to move straight to legalization and skip decriminalization of marijuana.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Big up to Justin Trudeal for the big move, even though I didn’t vote for him. Unfortunately his intentions are receiving some resistance .Many are now arguing that the Canadian government’s plot to legalize marijuana breaches its current legal obligations to the United Nation’s international drug-control conventions. Why should we still be bound by treaties signed years and years ago when 99% of our leaders were actually delusional in regards to marijuana folks? I’m a law abiding citizen myself folks and I respect the law BUTTTTTT, SURELY LAWS AND TREATIES HAVE TO BE CHANGED TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF THE CITIZENS. . As a result, I am 100% in support of Canada to withdraw from these treaties and speed up the legalization process. .

Our good ol neighbors in south USA, also had the Illinois House pass a Marijuana Discrimination Bill. The Illinois House voted to make possession of up to 10 grams of weed a ticket penalty rather than a misdemeanor arrest folks. Now, in the perfect world one shouldn’t even get a ticket if they are an adult smoking pot, but like I say, things come in stages and this is better than jail. Previously, anyone caught with 10 grams of marijuana or less could have been slapped with a $1,500 fine and a possible six month stay in jail. Wow!. One day we will be laughing at all these primitive laws when legalization is now universal.  potnpoliticsAnalysts are already projecting this move will cut the prison population by 25% within 10 years. Great to know that news coming out of Illinois is that the Gov Bruce Rauner will sign this into law. If he doesn’t sign this may the marijuana gods make sure he experiences some excruciating pain till he has no choice but to roll a joint of Indica.

My good friends in Australia are also pushing for more farmers to start growing medicinal pot after a story of an Australian family with medical marijuana needs hit the media. This family had to move to Canada to get help for their daughter who is in need for medical marijuana. I know Australia is starting to move towards marijuana decriminalization , but  why they still prohibit farmers from growing pot when their citizen have to go elsewhere for help , just seems to amuse me.  For more on this story please click this link. That’s all I have for this week’s marijuana headlines folks. The struggle continues and soon we will just be talking tales on how pot was once illegal. Wish you all the best in the coming week and don’t forget to keep the joints burning and the bongs loaded. Watch this space tomorrow for the Strain of the Week post. Be sure not to miss out. Legalization is as sure as death folks, its coming soon whether we like it or not. Cheers
