Marijuana Headlines ,Weekly Round Up – April 30, 2016

Its that time again when we look at the headlines pertaining to the road to legalization. Not much good news this week folks, besides the fact that the struggle continues and more and more activists now speaking on the unjust prohibition laws of marijuana folks.

Otherwise the big story this week was probably the one about Colorado, Oklahoma and Nebraska trying to make sure that the law in Colorado that enables folks to legally sell marijuana is reversed.  It always seems to amaze me when idiotic politicians want to take a step backwards. When progress is made ,stepping back doesn’t really seem like a smart thing to do as far as i’m concerned. Oklahoma and Nebraska are arguing that since the decriminalization laws were passed, they have had to spend more money fighting trafficking of marijuana from Colorado. As these states are next to Colorado they are arguing that traffickers are now using their highways for bad deeds.

I don’t know about you folks, but this really seems very similar to Donald Trump saying lets ban Muslims because of the terror attacks happening in the USA.  Why would you want Colorado to ban selling pot legally just for that. I’m a big fan of law enforcement and I know they’re there to do their job, and I respect that. If more folks are now trafficking, then that’s an opportunity for the law to be enforced and hence show as proof that the law actually works. Should we also ban sugar from coming into the USA because so many folks are getting sugar related diseases? Wake up please NEBRASKA AND OKLAHOMA.  Why not even employ more cops? Sadly it also looks some legislators in Colorado also want a reversal on the Colorado marijuana laws. As for Colorado, the majority of your voters support the new marijuana laws so why  you tryna make a U turn? Nebraska and Oklahoma can at least argue that they now spend more money on jailing, arresting and prosecuting traffickers, even though their argument is really baseless. Let me also remind the folks that the vote to allow for marijuana sales was a very close one. I want to stress this out because it’s very possible it could be overturned if they voted again because it was so close the last time. A lot of pharmaceutical companies are not happy with this new law and are buying Politicians to reverse the law. All I can say to them is good luck mother fuckers. Legalization and decriminalization are the new norms of society.

South of the USA border, their president Enrique Pena Nieto is working on increasing the decriminalization limit for personal use from 5 grams to 28 grams or an ounce. Isn’t that just marvelous folks. Elsewhere we have zealots trying to take away progress and elsewhere some are working to make progress . I wish the Mexican citizens get this legislation passed.  In Canada we are now also putting up a team to help implement the decriminalization or legalization laws. Not too sure how the government is going to pass this but I think soon the work will be starting. I predict that the first step is decriminalization then legalization will come afterwards.  A special shout out to Australia who seem to be moving very fast as well in trying to end the unjust marijuana laws. I predict marijuana in Australia will be decriminalized by 2021. The Australian Hemp Party has done a lot in trying to bring about legalization and in also spreading the word on legalization. Please check these guys out on Facebook. They have a great page that’s always loaded with some watering marijuana and hemp news from all over the world.

That’s all I have for this week folks. Next week we go historical as we uncover some marijuana history. Be sure to check back on this blog for all the historical stories I’ll be covering next week. If time permits I should have about 5 posts next week. Let me get back to smoking some pot. Don’t forget, Marijuana Legalization is around the corner and is as  sure as death.
